Stunning and unusual grotesque spoon warmer in a vibrant yellow/tin glazed. Unmarked. The vibrant yellow colour glaze makes it extremely likely to be English and likely a Leeds pottery company like Burmantofts-known for producing such grotesque spoon warmers during the late 19th Century ( but this is just my amateur opinion, origin is unknown). 6 inches high and 9.5 inches wide. Light crazing to glaze. No cracks. There are a couple of old nicks to the glaze as shown. Also a slight nick to the gargoyles nose. See photos please before bidding. Rare to find and rare to find in good condition like this.
